The story
Founded by Ben Berkow, whose watch obsession started at 22 during U.S. Coast Guard basic training, where he wore a watch daily for the first time. He became a self-described "Watch Idiot Savant," discovering vintage brands like Ginsbo during specialized training, then falling deep into the watch-modding community — creating custom dials, full builds, and even inventing the first 12 o'clock crown watch mod. That hands-on modding background eventually became the foundation for launching his own brand rather than continuing to customize other people's watches.
