Watch Sensei is a catalogue you can browse anonymously. We collect as little as possible, and only to run the site and reply when you write to us.

This page describes our current practices. It isn't legal advice, and we'll update it as the product evolves.

• Browsing — no account is required, and we don't ask for personal details to read the directory. • Analytics — if analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure traffic in aggregate (pages viewed, rough location, device type). We use this to understand what's useful, not to identify you. • Voting — when you give a watch a thumbs up or down, a small cookie remembers your choice so you can change or retract it. It holds no personal information. • Newsletter — if you join the mailing list, we store the email address you give us and use it only to send those updates. Ask at any time and we'll remove you. • Messages — when you use the contact or “submit your watch” form, we store the name, email and message you send so we can reply. We also keep a salted, one-way hash of your IP address (never the address itself) purely to limit spam.

We don't sell or rent your personal data. We don't run third-party ad networks, and we don't build advertising profiles. Some buy links are affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure), but clicking one shares only what your browser normally sends to the destination shop.

We use two kinds of cookies: an optional analytics cookie (only if analytics is configured) and a functional voting cookie. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time — the directory keeps working without them; you'll just lose your saved votes.
