A tribute to that most fascinating of Mexican traditions, The Day of the Dead, that gives us such a refreshing and lighthearted outlook on the cycle of life: Día de los Muertos captures the playful but also solemn spirit of a unique celebration. On the dial, beneath a bed of Aztec marigolds, a skull tells the story of time with hypnotic, piercing eyes, and a sutured grin. A subtle spiderweb pattern at the top is counterbalanced by the date display at 6pm. The golden case tells its own story with engraved skull decorations, the crown offset at 2pm is topped with a red crystal. The black leather strap punctuated with red crystals can easily be replaced with a genuine calfskin or silicone strap to suit any occasion.
